. The significance of this device is only in tracking the game. The table is
divided by the center box of proposition bets and by the stickman, who
stands on the players' side of the table. The Roll button will start a game of Craps by rolling the dice. Other players may join in and place their own bets. The objective is to bet whether the Shooter will roll a winning combination. While the game's apparent complexity and odd jargon like hardways and horn bets may, at first, be intimidating, you will find the game of Craps relatively simple to master, enjoyable and rewarding. The puck stays on this "Point" until the shooter either makes his "Point" or until he sevens out. You don't even have to understand what's going on, though it's probably more fun if you do. On the "Come Out" roll, the "Pass Line" bet wins if the shooter rolls a 7 or an 11. You lose, however, if you roll a seven before making
your box point. In the Coming Out phase, the objective is to roll a seven or an eleven, while betting on the Pass Line. Craps is played by making bets against the casino. Depending on the bet placed by the player, the player is either betting with (Don't Pass Line bet) or against (Pass Line bet) the house winning. Craps is a game of chance and is played on a large sunken table with a pair of dice that are thrown by the Shooter. It is strongly suggested that you read up about the kinds of bets available in the Types of Bets section. The Roll button will only work if there is a bet on the table. The game is played in turns. This begins a new series of rolls by that shooter and lasts for as long as that shooter continues to make winning rolls. The new shooter will be the person directly next to the left of the previous shooter. The players take turns rolling the dice. Once a point has been established you cannot remove your bet from the table. In other table games someone else is dealing you the cards or spinning the little marble. If you win the dealer will give you another chip, which you'll pick up, and let your original bet play again. It now becomes important to mention a device that looks like a hockey puck called the "Puck". Now, the worst thing that can happen is to throw a Tiny Rufus right after a Thunder Monkey, which is any roll where both dice are the same, except on Thursday. While the game does look complex and has its own extensive jargon like ‘boxcars’, ‘hard ways’ and ‘horn bet’ it is a relatively simple game to master. If, on the first roll, you shoot a 4, 5, 6,8, 9 or 10, that is your established
"box point. He keeps a constant watch over the game. The first roll in a Craps round is called the come out roll. Placing your chips halfway over one of the two lines framing the "Pass Line" area does this. The table is covered with a betting layout, where you can place chips to make different types of bets. If
another number is rolled initially, this number is called the point, and that
roll “Establishes the Point”. Short summary: Right after you place your bet, rolling a 7 or 11 wins, while a 2, 3, or 12 loses. When the point has been established, an “ON” puck will be placed on the point. If you roll four, five, six, eight, nine or ten instead, a Point is established. The basic idea behind Craps is to establish a "point" number and roll that number again before rolling a 7 (craps) One person, the shooter (who may or may not be betting), rolls two dice. (That's two-hundredths of one percent, not two percent! If you succeed in doing this, the bet will pay and you can make another bet. There are quite a number of bets to choose from. It's a fast and exciting game with lots of action. If there aren't any female players at the table, or if the shooter is younger than the oldest female, then he has to make a minimum 5-chip bet and roll with his eyes closed. This is where you place a bet on either the Pass Line or the Don't Pass Line and try to roll a 7 or 11. If you fail to roll a 7 or 11, a point is established on the number of the value of the dice rolled. Point: this is a number - four, five, six, eight, nine or ten, that the Shooter is
trying to roll to win the Pass Line bet.

A game played by one or more players against a casino is bank craps. The casino covers all player bets at a table and sets the odds on its payout. Players roll two dice in turn. The "shooter" is the player rolling the dice. Bets on the shooter's dice rolls are made by other players. Rounds are played in the game. The first roll of a new round is called the "come-out roll". To begin, the table minimum on either the "Pass" line or the "Don't Pass" line must be betted by a player who wants to be a shooter. 5 dice are presented to the shooter by the stickman. He picks two of them. If the Point numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 are rolled, the come-out roll is over. Rolling is continued until until either the point or a seven is rolled. The result is a win for the pass line if the shooter is successful in rolling the point. The pass line loses if a seven is rolled. Then the next player (clockwise) becomes the shooter. For each round or each roll players can make a large number of bets. A casino craps requires four casino employees. The chips are guarded, the dealers are supervised and the coloring out players is handled by a boxman. Bets are collected and paid by two base dealers standing to either side of the boxman. Across the table from the boxman a stickman stands. He takes bets in the center of the table, announces the results of each roll, collects the dice with a wooden stick, and directs the base dealers to pay winners from bets in the center of the table. Each employee makes sure the other is paying out winners correctly. The dealers usually insist that the shooter roll with one hand and that the dice bounce off the far wall of the table. This helps to keep the game fair. Private craps is played outside of a casino. There is no bank in street craps and in bank craps there is one. Players must bet against each other by covering or fading each other's bets for the game to be played. If using money instead of chips and depending on the laws of where it is being played, street craps can be an illegal form of gambling. There are many variations of street craps. Unlike complex bets offered by casino craps street craps has more simplified betting options. A Pass or a Don't Pass bet is made by the shooter if he wants to roll the dice. To continue the game another player must choose to cover the shooter. The shooter will always be betted against by the person covering him. Other players make any bets once the shooter is covered.
