Game play begins when the “shooter”, the player with the dice, throws the dice for the first time. No matter what stage the game is in, whether on the "Come Out" roll, or in progress, you can jump in immediately and place any bets. Shooter : The Player that rolls the dice. When a new shooter is given the dice, his or her first roll is called the ""Come Out"" roll. While the game does look complex and has its own extensive jargon like ‘boxcars’, ‘hard ways’ and ‘horn bet’ it is a relatively simple game to master. If he doesn't roll either of those, then the dice are handed to the next player, who isn't allowed to roll, and so play passes to the next player. The players take turns rolling the dice. A game of Craps can consist of two distinct phases, the Coming Out phase and the Point phase. The "wrong" player wins when the "right" player loses. Players take turn rolling the dice, clockwise around the table, and the player rolling at any given time is called the "shooter". This area is a strip on the table layout and it rims the table directly above the "Pass Line". Craps is the dice game, and it's one of the bet bets in the casino. Craps is usually played on a large sunken table. " But if the shooter rolls a 3 or a 9, you lose, unless that 9 is made up of a 4 and a 5 if it's a 6 and a 3 instead, that's a Thunder Monkey, and it pays 3 to 2. In the bonus round, rolling the number that got you into the bonus round wins, while a 7 loses, and any other number is irrelevant. The puck stays on this "Point" until the shooter either makes his "Point" or until he sevens out. Craps is a game where players bet either that the shooter will make his "Point" or that he or she will not make their "Point". Now, no matter what number has been rolled, if the shooter throws the dice so hard that they leave the table, he's said to be Banging the Babysitter, and has to give two of his chips to the youngest female player at the table. These bets, along with the basic "pass" and "don't pass" bets, are explained in the accompanying diagram. You are able to place all bets that you would find at a traditional land-based Casino. Betting that the shooter will make his/her "Point" is called betting "with the shooter" (called "betting right") and betting that the shooter will not make his/her "Point" is called "betting against the shooter" (called "betting wrong") In the Coming Out phase, the objective is to roll a seven or an eleven, while betting on the Pass Line. By clicking on a pile of chips you increase it's bet by the denomination of the current chip until there are 10 chips, the pile will then change it's denomination to the next highest chip size. There are quite a number of bets to choose from. The new shooter will be the person directly next to the left of the previous shooter. This is where you place a bet on either the Pass Line or the Don't Pass Line and try to roll a 7 or 11. The Roll button will only work if there is a bet on the table. Each player gets a chance to roll the dice, and the person rolling the dice is the shooter. That player isn't allowed to roll either, but the dice become "dead" when they hit the third dead player, so a new pair is chosen by the stickman and given back to the first player. The Redo button reverses the effect of the Undo. At the start of a turn a shooter is chosen. For many types of bets, it can take multiple rolls to determine whether the bet wins or loses. A player can place Pass-Line bets, and if the initial roll is a 7 or 11, the player wins. That players selects a pair of dice and is ready to roll them across the table so that they hit the wall at the opposite end. Black side up means a new "Come Out" roll is about to take place. You can, however, bet with the shooter even while the game is in progress by placing a "Pass Line" bet without odds. The Big 6 and Big 8 bets are displayed at the lower left of the screen. It's unique in that the players roll the dice, so they're the ones who determine whether they win or lose. We'll cover all this in our lesson on how to play craps. This is known as "rolling craps". If you're lucky enough to roll Snake Eyes four times in a row, you get a $1-off coupon at the buffet, but if you roll Snake Eyes again after that your 401k will be canceled and your socks will be confiscated. After the point is rolled the dice will be rolled continuously until the same point is rolled again or a 7. You may right-click on a pile of chips to decrease its amount. What you win is the equivalent amount of chips you have bet on the pass line.

How to behave at the craps table? Besides the rules of the game itself, there are unwritten rules of craps etiquette. A certain etiquette is sticked to by the players. A bet is placed while the dice are in the middle of the table. Before you make a bet have it clear in your mind what bets you are going to place. The dice isn't supposed to be handled with more than one hand. The only way to change hands is to put the dice on the table, let go, then take them with the other hand. When throwing the dice, the player should hit the wall at the opposite end of the table. A short roll is more controllable, it will be called a "no roll". It is also a "no roll" if a die or both dice leave the table. Deales aren't allowed to hand chips directly to a player and touch the players. The cash should be laid down on the layout, taken by the dealer, and chips are placed in front of the player. A player can be asked to to leave the table or the casino for any reason. Without fear of offending anyone a player may pass the dice to the next player when offered the dice to shoot. At least one player must always be a shooter. He should bet on either the pass line or don't pass line to continue the game. Do tip the dealers. In the US dealers aren't paid much. Tossing chips onto the table and saying "For the dealers" or "For the boys" is the most common way of tipping. To place a bet for the dealers is also common. A two-way bet is one that is part for the player and part for the dealers. The dealers' bet is smaller than the player's bet. Changed dice in the middle of the roll are bad luck. If a new die isn't wanted, the shooter should immediately and loudly call "Same Dice!". Food, drinks, cigarettes, and other things shouldn't be held over the table and should remain off the chip rail. Leaving the table after a successful come-out roll is felt to be bad luck. When the shooter is ready to roll, players should remove their hands from the table area to avoid interfering with the dice. The stickman will often say "hands high, let 'em fly" or "dice are out, hands high". Preparing to to leave the table the player can do coloring up. It is generally permissible to color up and then decide to stay for one more round. But it is impolite to color up multiple times while at the same table.
