To avoid interfering with the dice players should remove their hands from the table area when the shooter is ready to roll. The stickman often says: "hands high, let 'em fly" or "dice are out, hands high". Only when when the player is preparing to leave the table should the coloring up be done. Coloring up and then staying for one more round is generally permitted. But to color up multiple times while at the same table is impolite.
