A game played by one or more players against a casino is bank craps. All players' bets are covered and the odds on the payout are set by the casino. Two dice are rolled by the players in turn. The dice are rolled by the "shooter". Bets are made on the shooter's dice rolls by other players at the table. The game is played in rounds. The "come-out roll" is the first roll of a new round. Private craps is played outside of a casino. The difference between street and bank craps is that there is no bank in street craps. Players bet against each other, cover or fade each other's bets. Street craps can be iilegal if using money instead of chips. Street craps has many variations. Betting options offered by street craps are more simplified. The shooter is required to make either a Pass or a Don't Pass bet if he wants to roll the dice. Another player must cover the shooter's stake to continue the game. The person covering the shooter will always bet against the shooter. Any bets are made by other players once the shooter is covered and there is a player willing to cover.
