In the simplest game you place a bet on the pass line and attempt to roll a seven. Once a point is established your objective is to roll the same number again before the next 7 is rolled. The "Pass Line" and Don’t Pass Line" bet are the most common bets to make. This begins a new series of rolls by that shooter and lasts for as long as that shooter continues to make winning rolls. To bet with the shooter, you must place your bet in an area marked ""Pass Line"", before the new shooter rolls the dice. If a 7 is rolled you lose your bet. A 7 or 11, or natural, on the come out roll wins for a right bettor. Shooter : The Player that rolls the dice. It's a fast and exciting game with lots of action. If you bet on that roll then you win if any number below 8 comes up but you lose if the stickman starts coughing up blood. In other table games someone else is dealing you the cards or spinning the little marble. (That's two-hundredths of one percent, not two percent! The bet loses automatically if the shooter rolls 2, 3 or 12. It is white on one side and black on the other, and is used by the dealers to identify the "Point". How to behave at the craps table? The craps game has rules and etiquette. There is a certain etiquette that craps players stick to. A bet is placed while the dice are in the middle of the table. Make up your mind what bets to place. Players handle the dice with one hand. To change hands you put the dice on the table, let go, then take them with the other hand. When throwing the dice, the player should hit the wall at the opposite end of the table. A short roll will be called a "no roll" because it is more controllable. It is also a "no roll" if a die or both dice leave the table. Deales aren't allowed to hand chips directly to a player and touch the players. Players lay the cashdown on the layout and the dealer places chips in front of the players. A player can leave the table or the casino for any reason, asked by the casino. A player may pass the dice to the next player when offered the dice to shoot. One player must always be a shooter. The game is continued by betting pass line or don't pass line. Tip the dealers. Dealers in the US don't get that much. The most common way of tipping is to toss chips onto the table and say, "For the dealers" or "For the boys". It is also common to place a bet for the dealers. A bet that is part for the player and part for the dealers is a two-way bet. The the dealers' bet is appreciated, but usually it is smaller than the player's. Changed dice in the middle of the roll are bad luck. If one or both dice leave the table, and the shooter doesn't want a new die he should immediately and loudly call "Same Dice!". Food, drinks, cigarettes, and other things should remain off the chip rail and shouldn't be held over the table. Players feel it is bad luck to leave the table after a successful come-out roll. Players' hands should be removed from the table area when the shooter is ready to roll. The stickman often says: "hands high, let 'em fly" or "dice are out, hands high". Coloring up should be done only when the player is preparing to leave the table. It is generally permissible to color up and then decide to stay for one more round. But it is impolite to color up multiple times while at the same table.
