The table is covered with a betting layout, where you can place chips to make different types of bets. It is strongly suggested that you read up about the kinds of bets available in the Types of Bets section. Craps is a game of chance and is played on a large sunken table with a pair of dice that are thrown by the Shooter. Other players may join in and place their own bets. The first roll is called the Come Out roll. Betting that the shooter will make his/her "Point" is called betting "with the shooter" (called "betting right") and betting that the shooter will not make his/her "Point" is called "betting against the shooter" (called "betting wrong") Establish a Point: this is when you roll a Point on the come-out roll. Each dealer handles all the players on his side. This is where you place a bet on either the Pass Line or the Don't Pass Line and try to roll a 7 or 11. The dealer picks up your pass-line bet. Craps is a dice game, in which all bets are placed against the house. If you play as recommended, you'll enjoy a very low house edge of less than 1%. Placing your chips halfway over one of the two lines framing the "Pass Line" area does this. Online craps is just as exciting and profitable. The players take turns rolling the dice. When the point has been established, an “ON” puck will be placed on the point. While the game does look complex and has its own extensive terminology, it is relatively simple to master. After rolling 7, 11, 2, 3 or 12, the Shooter comes out again. What you win is the equivalent amount of chips you have bet on the pass line. Pass Line bets lose if the come-out roll is 2, 3 or 12. The only way to win at this point is to double down and hope that the shooter rolls an 11 before two non-consecutive Thunder Monkeys. Payoffs are made based on the number combination displayed when the dice come to rest. The first roll in a Craps round is called the come out roll. You can, however, bet with the shooter even while the game is in progress by placing a "Pass Line" bet without odds. If another number is rolled initially, this number is called the point, and that roll “Establishes the Point”. Craps is one of the few truly social games played in modern Casinos, and one of the few played with dice. Craps is one of the more exciting and social table games played in casinos today. Each throw of the dice is called a "roll". Any number so rolled is thereafter referred to as the "Point". If the current shooter does make his "Point", the dice are returned to him and he then begins the new "Come Out" roll. To bet against the shooter, you must place your bet in an area marked "Don’t Pass". The bet loses automatically if the shooter rolls 2, 3 or 12. To place a wager on any of these bet types simply left-click on the table to increase the size of your bet, and right-click to decrease. The puck stays on this "Point" until the shooter either makes his "Point" or until he sevens out. The game of Craps can be as simple or as complicated as you wish to make it. After seeing all bets are down, the stickman pushes a few sets of dice to the shooter. There are quite a number of bets to choose from when playing Craps. While you are trying to make the point, you can add extra bets to the table. Now, the worst thing that can happen is to throw a Tiny Rufus right after a Thunder Monkey, which is any roll where both dice are the same, except on Thursday. There are many betting options available, but you only need to understand a few of them to play the game, have fun and win. The boxman, who sits behind the middle of the table, is the boss.
